TFM (Total Fatty Matter) in Melt & Pour Soap Bases

TFM stands for Total Fatty Matter, which indicates the amount of natural fats and oils present in a soap. In traditional hard soaps, higher TFM means more fat content and a solid, non-meltable bar.Melt & Pour soap bases are specially formulated to be meltable and easy to use. To achieve this, part of the fats are reduced and replaced with glycerine, which provides moisturisation and keeps the skin soft. As a result, Melt & Pour soaps naturally have a lower TFM compared to regular bath soaps.In Melt & Pour soaps, skin benefits come mainly from glycerine, while gentle cleansing and good lather are maintained through a balanced formulation. This makes them ideal for handcrafted and customised soap making

How to Use Luxuries Melt & Pour Soap Base

  1. Cut the Soap Base – Chop into small, uniform pieces for faster, even melting.
  2. Melt the Soap Base – Use a double boiler or microwave. Stir continuously to prevent burning until smooth.
  3. Add Fragrance & Colour – Incorporate your preferred fragrance oil (1–2% of the base) and soap-safe colours. Mix gently for even distribution.
  4. Pour into Mold – Pour carefully, spray rubbing alcohol to eliminate air bubbles, and ensure a smooth finish.
  5. Unmold& Enjoy – Allow to cool and harden completely, then remove from the Mold. Your handcrafted soap is ready!

    If you wish to cancel your order, please inform us by email at customersupport@kffindia.com within 8 hours of placing the order or before dispatch, whichever is earlier.
    Once the order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled.

    •    The customer must share a clear opening video of the parcel, recorded from the moment the package is opened, without any cuts or edits.
    •    The video must clearly show the outer packaging, shipping label, and the product received.
    •    Upon receiving the video, we will verify the claim internally.
    •    Based on our verification, we will take appropriate action, which may include replacement.
    Claims raised without an opening video will not be eligible for replacement.
